THE PROPERTY
The storage house in Portugal is made of good granite and can be restored to become beautiful and comfy. It has 27.5m2 habitable space per floor.
House can be restored but can't be extended or install other permanent buildings. Anyway you can use it as you wish.
Land has 9980m2 along some terraces not very steep and a larger flat area by the stream.
The water from the public spring can be legally diverted to the land in alternation with neighbour, making it easy to fill a pond or natural swimming pool even without pumping.
Easy access, tarmac is just 20 metres from the entrance.
Hundreds of native trees, mostly oaks, pines, laurel and chestnut, and fruit trees, mostly cherry and plum.
Electricity and mains water are less than 50m from the house but you might want to opt for solar and pico hydro.
You will also get a 1270m2 piece of land nearby that you can sell if not interested.

THE REGION
As climate is so important let's put it straight: Portugal is the country with the mildest climate in continental Europe. This region is not so hot in the Summer as most of Italy and Spain and even part of France, but also not so cold in the winter. The further west in Europe you go the mildest it is. No unbearable nights like in the Mediterranean.
IC6 main road is projected to have an access nearby, but it won't be too close to the land as you'll be able to verify.
A very safe region in a country very well ranked in the Global Peace Index.
Many people from different countries and walks of life came to live and on holidays in the borough and region. Some have opened businesses.
Less than 5km away there is a typical restaurant and a new charming restaurant/bar.
Less than 10km away there is an Indian and Italian restaurant.
In Tábua town there are 10+ cafes (30+ in the borough) some of which serve meals, 8 restaurants (including 1 chinese and 2 pizzerias), 2 whole food shops, 2 grocery shops, 4 larger supermarkets like Lidl, 4 farming shops, 7 car garages and more than 100 other shops.
Other towns and cities less than 20 km away have similar number of amenities.
